Positive Ageing Day Programmes

Positive Ageing refers to maintaining a happy lifestyle, staying healthy, positive attitude and feel good about themselves throughout their lives as they age.

To enable them to achieve the above goal, the trust delivers Positive Ageing Day programs for the senior citizens and people with special needs in the Auckland region

Onehunga Centre
Tuesday 10.30am – 1.30pm
Wednesday 10.30am – 1.30pm
Special Needs Activities
Friday 10.30am – 1.30pm

Manurewa Centre
225 Great South Road, Manurewa ( Methodist Church Manurewa)
Every Thursday 10.30am – 1.30pm

North Shore Centre
Glenfield Community Centre, Glenfield
1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 10.30am – 12.30pm

No joining fees, a small donation is given towards meal and transport costs.

  • Universal Prayer, followed by the ‘Thought of the Day’
  • Birthday Celebrations
  • Physical Exercises

  • Games: Housie, Indoor balls, Carom board, Memory games etc.
  • Small group activities (according to the needs / interests of seniors: e.g puzzles, scrabble, cultural and spiritual discussions)
  • Educational Sessions on Health and Welfare Related Issues
  • Healthy Lifestyle workshops
  • Outings and Picnics
  • Participation inCommunity Events
  • Facilities provided: Vegetarian Indian Meals and Transport
